Avoid Verossa and block other specific pop-up windows

Some of your costumes complain that when they enter websites (not only this website) they get unwonted (unauthorized) annoying pop-up window from verossa.info web-site with marketing information.

I would like to clarify that it is not because of the web-site is infected and equipped with this malicious software. It happens because some specific cookies are nested in your personal computer. You can get some information on cookies on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie. The main idea which you can pick up from wikipedia is that in fact cookies are needed to be downloaded by your personal computer (it happen automatically if you have not forbidden it) in order it will be effective when Internet browsing. But some cookies, are of negative nature and like in case of “verossa” in fact cause spam activities of your web-browser.

Below are step-by-step instructions on how to block verossa pop-up window which could be arranged even by common users.

First of all you should delete specific cookies.

1. Run any File Manager, for instance click My Computer and run search on C:\ disk with searchportal criteria. If your search engine finds something with searchportal.information.com name, delete it.
2. Run File Manager, again and run search on C:\ disk with verossa criteria. If your search engine finds something with verossa.info name, delete it.
3. If you use Internet Explorer and go to TOOLS menu item and then click one after another: Internet Options --> Privacy -->Edit.
4. In the opened Per Site Privacy Options window type in the Address of Web site field:

searchportal.information.com

and push Block.

Then repeat the last action again for the:

verossa.info

5. Push OK button and then OK again for the next window.
6. If you use Opera browser from TOOLS menu item go to Advances à Block Content
7. Click ADD and enter searchportal.information.com
8. Click ADD again and enter verossa.info
9. Click CLOSE button.

The same actions you can do for Mozilla Firefox, Netscape browsers which also have similar tools.
