Lado Asatiani
Vladimer Asatiani Vladimer Asatiani, Ph. D. Professor of Fine Art at Tbilisi State University. He was born in Tbilisi in 1955. He graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts with Diploma of Painter in 1977. Then he took Post-graduate course in Institute of Philosophy of State Academy of Sciences, Georgia. He defended Doctor’s Thesis: “Mythical Roots of Fine Arts” in 1991. He was awarded Sandro Bottichelli Prize, Florence 1 March 2015.
He Chaired Fine and Applied Arts department of Tbilisi State University. Since 2005 till 2006 he was a Dean of faculty of Arts an Humanities of Tbilisi State University.
He regularly participats in different exhibitions. He also is the author of various works in Art theory and History.
His Works are kept in Patriarchate of Georgia, in N. Pirosmani State Museum and also in different countries of World and in properties of many prominent persons.
